Scope
Public Health is pleased to announce a major, international, multidisciplinary
and intersectoral conference, reviewing our current knowledge of social, cultural
and economic determinants of health and how such determinants can be influenced
to improve public health.
Whilst the conference will focus on comparative national perspectives, the
public health research and practice presented will explore key messages for
international and for global public health and well-being.
Topics
The main themes of the conference will include:
- Social and societal factors in health and the reduction in health inequalities
- Culture, lifestyle and choice in health and well-being
- The economics of public health and healthcare delivery
- Systems change for health improvement
Selected papers from the conference will be published in a special issue of
Public Health to be published after the event.
